CICA 2024 looks for the best beers of the year.

In addition to awarding medals to the best beers in each category, CICA awards the brewery that obtains the most global points, the beer that is best rated by the judges, and the best revelation brewery.

CATEGORIES

Best beer

It consists of awarding Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. These awards will be assigned taking into account the quality of the beer and will consider parameters such as: aroma, flavors, mouthfeel, appearance, absence of defects and / or errors; as well as the adaptation to the style to which the beer is assigned.

Best brewery

It rewards the set of beers presented by the same brewery, based on a sum of points obtained for each of the beers and at the rate of: 2 points for a bronze medal, 3 for a silver medal and 5 for a gold medal.

Best rookie brewery

Award that wants to recognize and visualize the newly created breweries. For this reason, the aforementioned award will be assigned to the brewery that markets its beer and / or has inaugurated its first facilities from January 1, 2019 onwards and that achieves the highest score associated with its medals under the same conditions as the Best Brewery Award described above.

CICA receives significant coverage in the media, both nationally and internationally, which is enhanced by dissemination on social networks, not only by the CICA organization but also by all participating brewers. The Contest provides the winning brewers with press releases and promotional material in order to maximize the exploitation of the winners’ image.

The necessary files are also sent to the winners to be able to reproduce the medals on labels, packaging and merchandising of the brand.

In addition, the Gold medal winning beers will be present at the Contest Stand during Beermad, allowing them to reach an important audience of potential customers, distributors and media.

All participating brewers receive by email the evaluation of the judges on each of their beers.
